Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ),Info. System Grp (ISG), DPQRS and ESRD Systems.
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Sys/Analysis), GS-2210-15, you will serve as the Director and first line manager of DPES. The purpose of the position is to plan, direct, and coordinate the information technology (IT) work activities.
Duties
- Provides input to various federal development teams and contractors so that the application, database, infrastructure, and other enhancements improve the overall availability and reliability of the HCQIS.
- Provides expert technical advice to all members of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) while assuming the leadership role of the Product Team within the IPT.
- Develops and implements information technology policies and procedures that follow CMS and other applicable Federal policies in order to support CCSQ information technology objectives, in coordination with other CMS components.
- Provides technical direction for data and database planning, design, implementation.
- Serves as Supervisory Information Technology Specialist who functions as the Director and exercises supervisory authority over the staff.
