CDC RFI: Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) Migration

Notice ID: 75D301_VTrckS

Description

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) is issuing this RFI to conduct market research and obtain feedback from industry regarding migration of the CDC’s Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) from the existing Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment to the SAP S/4HANA environment.

VTrckS allows the CDC, awardees (i.e., participating state, local, and territorial health departments, including commonwealths), and participating providers, to order and manage publicly funded vaccines more efficiently. Built on legacy SAP ERP software, VTrckS is a robust vaccine management application that supports the purchasing, ordering, and distribution of vaccines to awardees through a single fully integrated, end-to-end vaccine supply chain management system. VTrckS is a critical component to the overall mission offering a secure system that provides increased near real-time visibility and monitoring of CDC’s federal inventory, as well as health care provider public vaccine inventory, orders, and shipment status.

The anticipated scope of the project is to migrate VTrckS from the existing SAP ERP environment to the SAP S/4HANA Business Suite environment. The migration of VTrckS from its legacy environment is necessary due to SAP’s termination of support for legacy ERP environments. This support termination is scheduled to take place by December 31, 2027.
