FDA RFP: Digital Strategy, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis and Solution Accelerator Activities

Description

The mission priorities for the Immediate Office of OIMT (OIMT/IO) are to examine and employ pioneering concepts, tools and technologies to support the agency’s mission of promoting and protecting America’s public health and to achieve goals outlined in the FDA Modernization Action Plans and IT Strategic Plan. The OIMT/IO has been given the following priorities:

  • Continue execution and evolution of the FDA’s Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, and Solutions Architecture programs to participate more substantially in agency wide business technology processes to promote and ensure business aligned standards are used, but also evolve.
  • Facilitate efforts to transform FDA IT Architecture to one that is citizen-centered, FDAmission/business-centric, and results-oriented.
  • Facilitate IT-business partnerships to enhance the FDA’s ability to rapidly research, explore and implement solutions useful to the FDA business units.
  • Support the CIO and CTO in the development and formulation of IT strategies and plans as the FDA mission and needs evolve to meet new challenges and requirements.
  • Chair and support the FDA Enterprise Technical Architecture Board (FEATAB) as the architecture and technology review stage/stakeholder of the FDA IT governance process.
  • Execute the Office of Digital Transformation Partnership for Good IT strategic planning and consulting function
  • Execute the OIMT Solution Architecture consulting, engineering and prototyping function as part of the Solution Accelerator service to:
  • Link business surveillance and intelligence gained in partnership between the EA and FDA Business units to IT strategic change and solution adoption.
  • Accelerate the establishment of new services that can be rapidly added to the IT portfolio in support of cross-agency need
