Duties
This position serves as a senior advisor to the Director of the Executive Secretariat, while also leading a small unit with responsibility for a wide array of projects, programs, and initiatives that help the Executive Secretariat function as well-coordinated, disciplined, effective and efficient organization, particularly in the areas of strategic planning, technology systems growth and development.
As Chief, Program Integration and Business Operations Unit, the incumbent supervises other ES staff responsible for carrying out ES technology, planning, and business operations and integrating information that supports the ES mission and organizational priorities, programs, and operations.
Engages with and seeks feedback from senior NIH personnel and key organizational stakeholders to identify and define obstacles and problems hindering organizational progress and functionality and develops and recommends solutions and/or courses of action.
Supervises and performs a wide variety of functions in support of ES-wide responsibilities, such as strategic planning, preparing and leading NIH-wide meetings and presentations, evaluating ES information systems and technology development and managing the development of new functionalities and improvements, planning and measuring organizational performance, leading branding projects including website development and maintenance, responding to administrative data calls, and tracking ES budget and expenditures, etc.
