MITRE seeking Chief Physician Informaticist

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration between VA’s IT, medical, and executive stakeholders
  • Serve as MITRE’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and informatics thought leader
  • Provide overall health practice & policy leadership to MITRE’s VA health work program.
  • Advise MITRE VA projects and program development activities in the areas of health policy, health economics, insurance coverage, payment reforms, and other areas across the health domain.
  • Oversee and develop technical products such as research papers, briefing papers, and recommendations for VA program implementation and direct complex research, planning and policy development projects.
  • Work closely with VA senior government officials to provide policy and regulatory advice in support of health program design, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Applied expertise in electronic information exchange between health data systems and other information systems
