Summary
This position is at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Safety, Security, and Asset Management (OSSAM), Security Services Office (SSO), Office of the Director (OD), located in Atlanta, Georgia and reports directly to the SSO Director. SSO is responsible for planning, managing, directing, and leading nation-wide physical security programs, personnel suitability programs, and internal emergency operations for all CDC and ATSDR facilities, laboratories, and personnel.
Duties
As a Program Specialist you will:
- Serve as Deputy Director and assist the Director in shaping policies, and short and long-range plans, and administering operational services in the Security Services Office, Office of the Director (SSO-OD), the Physical Security Operations Branch (PSOB), Personnel Security Branch (PSB), and Internal Emergency Management Branch (IEMB).
- Develop strategic staffing plans, communications, policy, budget requests and justifications.
- Prepare spend plan management, contracts and interagency agreements.
- Implement customer experience initiatives related to security services delivery; provide oversight of information technology projects and operations. Assist with the master planning, and business continuity and contingency planning activities.
- Manage the day-to-day actions of the OD, provide management and operations for SSO, and serve in the absence of the Director.
