HHS IHS seeking Operating Officer Health System Administrator

This position serves as a Health System Administrator (Chief Operating Officer) for the Crownpoint Service Unit in Crownpoint, NM. The incumbent will have full responsibility for directing the administrative activities for the Service Unit and the healthcare clinics. Coordinates, evaluates and oversees the organizational structures and management systems of the administrative division.

Duties:

  • Responsible and accountable for managing all administrative activities and serves as a full member of the Service Unit Executive Committee.
  • Exercises overall supervisory responsibilities for the planning, development, organization, integration, and evaluation of all branches under the Division Administrative Services. This responsibility is carried out within broad agency guidelines and with full recognition of the professional technical expertise processed by subordinate staff.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of both long and short term policies and plans for the healthcare delivery system by coordinating input from administrative services staff.
  • Shares leadership for the development, evaluation, and adjustment of organizational structures and management systems within Crownpoint Service Unit.
  • Responsible for the development and formulation of basic data and preliminary budget estimates for all activities connected with Crownpoint Service Unit.
  • Closely monitors the budget expenditures and advises the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee of the expenditure trends and recommends corrective action.
  • Reviews, verifies, and ensures the preparation of the monthly financial reports related to the financial management.
