The Comptroller’s Office of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) seeks to hire a Deputy Comptroller (Deputy Chief Financial Officer). The selected candidate will support the Office mission by advising on multiple funding streams, expenditure trends, and issues directly impacting execution of approved research projects.
Duties:
- Reviews and contributes to plans and justifications for ARPA-H annual, midyear, and unfunded budget submissions and may represent ARPA-H at budget meetings with HHS, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Congress.
- Serves as an ARPA-H focal point for the analysis, interpretation, and impact assessment of OMB, HHS, and NIH budgetary polices and directives, and congressional authorizing and appropriating legislation including committee reports.
- Develops general objectives and performance standards for the ARPA-H automated accounting system. Monitors analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of the system in meeting ARPA-H’s financial accounting needs and the requirements of OMB and GAO.
