About The Position
The incumbent provides executive oversight and strategic direction for all operating functions within the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO,) providing direction and comprehensive consultation services to ACF managers, supervisors, and staff on operational policy issues. Leads programmatic, administrative, and operational activities within the office. The COO is charged with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of ORR operations, while exercising a high degree of independent judgment in planning, and establishing goals and strategies for administrative programs.
On behalf of the ORR Director, has authority regarding the disposition and oversight of ORR resources (budget, personnel, and all other assets). Provides ORR leadership guidance in developing policies for managing ORR financial resources, procurement, personnel, and information technology, as well as general administrative management.
