HHS ASPR taps Deputy Assistant Secretary and Director, Office of Security, Intelligence, and Information Management

Brian Mazanec, armed with over 13 years of experience serving the Federal government at the Government Accountability Office, has taken on a new challenge as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Director, Office of Security, Intelligence, and Information Management at the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response. ASPR leads the nation’s medical and public health preparedness for, response to, and recovery from man-made and naturally occurring disasters and public health emergencies.

Prior roles include:

  • Director (SES) of Strategic Warfare and Intelligence – GAO
  • Acting Director – GAO
  • Assistant Director – GAO
