FedScoop: Robert Wood, CISO, CMS: Security Heroes: Defending a Dynamic Perimeter

Center for Medicare and Medicaid’s Robert Wood says shifts toward software-defined networking and data lakes are helping CMS drive efficiencies in security and infrastructure modernization. He cites improved security monitoring and consumption of firewall and networking resources as ways the agency is enhancing perimeter defenses. With modernized networking, the agency can also focus on building zero trust elements where centralized technology intersects; investing once to benefit many.

This video is part of a series that interviews government and industry leaders on modern approaches to perimeter cybersecurity. The series, “Security Heroes: Defending a Dynamic Perimeter,” is produced by FedScoop and underwritten by Cisco. Watch the video here.
