SAIC seeking Chief Architect

Description

SAIC is seeking a Chief Architect with experience in Cloud ERP for the Department of Veterans Affairs Supply Chain Modernization program. VA requires a modern, comprehensive supply chain, equipment, and facilities management capability which is easy to use, integrated and intelligent. The cloud-based supply chain modernization and management solution will be used by ~50K users across the agency, securely integrated with enterprise VA IT systems, and deployed to 1000s of sites.

The candidate for this position may work anywhere in the United States. There is no requirement to work at a SAIC or customer site to support VA SCM.

This opportunity is contingent upon award.

The candidate for this position will

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of VA supply chain business operations and processes associated with the information solutions; provide clarification, coaching, and direction to development/ configuration teams concerning design aspects as needed; and interface with customer and program management to assess and provide feedback on the feasibility, cost, risks, schedule, of a VA’s SCM.
  • Provide enterprise architecture expertise to translate VA’s SCM strategy into a future architecture and develop a roadmap to achieve that future state.
  • Use multi-disciplinary techniques such as: business process decomposition and redesign, information engineering, organizational redesign, change management, IT strategy and architecture, and performance measurement, to assist in VA SCM business transformation and implementation.
  • Work collaboratively in a product-centric scaled Agile environment to design, develop, and maintain current and future views and data describing the VA SCM architecture.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science related field and 14 years and 5 years or more experience as a solution architect; Masters and 12 years or more experience; PhD or JD and 9 years or more experience.
  • Delivery experience in an Agile, Lean, SAFe-based environment utilizing DevSecOps, ARTs, CI/CD, and related processes, methodologies, and concepts.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
