Summary
This position is located in the Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights (OEOCR) within CMS, in Baltimore, MD. As the Director, OEOCR, you will serve as the Chief Diversity Officer and principal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) official for the Agency. You will provide executive leadership and direction in the effective administration of CMS-wide EEO, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and Civil Rights programs.
Duties
- Serves as CMS’s Chief Diversity Officer and provides executive leadership and strategic direction on diversity, equity and inclusion issues.
- Develops CMS strategies to improve representational diversity through data analysis to assist in identifying targeted outreach and recruitment strategies to help increase diversity in CMS applicant pools.
- The incumbent chairs and leads the CMS DEI Council, engaging pertinent stakeholders, leaders and employees
- Advises on inclusion strategies influencing employee engagement, satisfaction, development and productivity, and the ability of CMS to leverage the diverse ideas, talents and perspectives of the CMS workforce.
