The Network Director serves as the Chief Executive of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) and is responsible for the effective management of multiple components including primary, secondary, and tertiary care medical centers; and other linked access points providing care for Veterans. In consultation with the Assistant Under Secretary for Operations, the Network Director will formulate and implement major organizational operating policies and plans for effective governance of an interdependent and decentralized healthcare delivery system.
Provides Leadership and management skills in the following areas: systems and business management; strategic planning; quality assessment/improvement; performance measurements/ improvements; human resources and professional staff management; and personal leadership and ethics.
Provides executive level management of multiple components of the VISN including, primary, secondary, tertiary care medical centers, multi-specialty and sole practitioner clinics, nursing homes, counseling centers, and telehealth services which provide patient care, graduate medical education and research…
