VHA is the largest integrated health care network in the United States with 1,294 health care facilities supporting over 9 million enrolled Veterans and delivering health care to over 6 million Veterans each year. The VHA Long-Range Plan Framework (see attachment A) outlines goals, objectives and strategies to establish and align VHA’s efforts and resources over the next several years.
- Rapid on-demand and comprehensive enterprise-wide (VHA) level support for a multitude of professional based service requirements that may call for support and/or solutions that cross over multiple disciplines and multiple task orders.
- Robust implementation planning support to ensure adequate level of preparation of VHACO, VISNs and VAMCs for large scale business and technology change to include preparation for deployment, training development and delivery and organizational change management and communication plans.
- Expert level resources that are highly knowledgeable and well versed with all operational components and systems, as well as the organizational structure and culture within VHA.
- Application of lessons learned from the DoD and commercial sector systems implementations and business and operational processes to inform VHA decisions
