Summary
The Director of Operations is located in the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Development, Security, and Operations (Dev/Sec/Ops), End User Operations (EUO), District Operations. The purpose of the position it to provide leadership and resource management (finance, human, and acquisition), leading the development and implementation strategy required to manage IT End User operations for a group of areas within an OIT End User Operations District.
Major Duties:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations, services, maintenance and security for all customers within a group of areas within a district.
- Provides direction on the integration of the area administrations’ and VA Staff offices’ assets and services.
- Collaborates closely with partners in the Infrastructure Operations and Command Center Operations divisions to deliver full service and total ticket management for VA IT end users.
- Enforces strict adherence to VA standards, architectures, and change control, including version and release management, governance and strategic planning, and SLA compliance.
- Provides leadership, planning, and management of information technology strategy, development, and implementation.
