Summary
The Electronic Health Record Modernization-Integration Office (EHRM-IO) provides program management oversight, infrastructure and system modernization, and legacy system integration to enable health information technology (IT) product installation and facilitate the adoption of new health IT products at VA as they relate to the implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) Modernization system.
Duties
The Deputy Program Executive Director (DPED)serves as the second-in-command to the Program Executive Director (PED)and fully shares in authorities and responsibilities of the PED for the direction of the EHRM-IO’s programs.
The DPED is responsible for the planning and direction of all administrative, financial and operational activities for the EHRM-IO. Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the PED to facilitate efficient decision making. Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance and acts as an advisor to the Program Executive Director. The DPED assists the PED in the development and implementation of a comprehensive, cohesive and robust, business-driven approach to the EHRM-IO’s operations and services by establishing and deploying operational criteria, methodologies and business processes.
The DPED provides guidance, executive oversight and management over the following organizations: Administrative Management, Communications, Financial Management, Workforce Management, and Program Integration. The DPED directs the development of an integrated multi-year programming and reporting system and has a financial reporting process that includes both short and long range plans and annual budget. The incumbent directs activities associated with the coordination of EHRM-IO’s budget, expenditure monitoring and budget tracking, as well as the development of and compliance with charge-back policies and coordination of capacity planning and forecasting of the EHRM-IO’s resource requirements…
