“This position is the Division Director for the Division of Technology, located within the Office of Information Technology in IHS Headquarters in Rockville, MD. The incumbent reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer/Deputy Director of OIT.”
Responsibilities:
Advises on Health IT services for Agency program objectives and operations utilizing health information systems and health information systems technologies to assist senior management.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to establish best practices for HITSS innovation with the agency facilities across the country to support the architecture for existing, planned, and future agency HITSS programs.
Advises the CIO on HITSS operational aspects for the agency’s short and long-term IT service goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; manages projects and investments to validate the full performance of contracts.
