VA seeking ARC Deputy Director

“Serves as Deputy Director, Allocation Resource Center (ARC), a field-based unit of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Finance’s Resource Management Office (RMO). The ARC supports the 18 networks and VHA Headquarters and Consolidated Activities in the various phases and activities involved in the allocation and utilization of annual budgets. The information and policy system assists the VHA in defining annual budgets for each of the Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs).”

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies the development and training needs of subordinates and ensures they receive needed/required training and development.
  • Oversees the capture, analysis, and integration of current data from a variety of databases, systems, software, and other sources related to capitation-based resource allocation methodology.
  • Supports work with VHA Office of Policy and Planning to ensure the accuracy of the underlying data structure and content in the Department.
  • Manages the receipt of recommendations and ensures comprehensive review of all relevant requests/recommendations to maintain the effectiveness of the capitated resource allocation systems.
  • Provides technical support for and assistance with development, implementation, and maintenance of a capitation-based resource allocation system.
  • Oversees the receipt and storage of workload data and its integration into resource allocation and network support data systems.
  • Assists in reviewing prospective cost-benefit and/or cost-effectiveness studies of emerging methodologies.
