Guidehouse seeking Associate Director Public Health IT, VA, MHS

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and programmatic support for the OIT Health Services Portfolio at the portfolio, product line, and product level.
  • Work with senior client leadership to identify, plan, implement, and execute support for the Health Services Portfolio’s strategic priorities, including design strategy review of all design efforts to ensure consistency and unity across portfolio.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and manage to cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Lead continuous process improvement and innovation initiatives to ensure the successful execution of OIT’s strategic goals.
  • Provide support to senior client senior leadership through the creation of briefings and reports, facilitation of reoccurring meetings, and provision of ad hoc research support.
  • Support VA cross functional teams and provide daily active collaboration and feedback for the OIT Health Services Portfolio’s goals, scope, requirements, costs, schedule, and risks.
  • Provide synergy and consistent support through each of the support layers within the Health Services Portfolio.
  • Ensure cross functional team awareness of the work being completed throughout the Portfolio and implement solutions in a consistent, cohesive manner in alignment with Health Services Portfolio goals.
  • Employ VA’s approved methodologies to support the Health Services Portfolio to include, but not limited to, Product Line Management, SAFe Agile, DevSecOps, and VIP while supporting the cross functional teams.
  • Ensure efficiencies are leveraged across product lines and throughout the Health Services Portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science,
  • Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Operations Research or related fields.
  • Years of Experience: 15+ years. 15 to 20 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • Experience managing projects with complex data requirements using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Detailed knowledge of the software development lifecycle and network engineering at the enterprise level
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills for crafting solutions to challenging problems/issues, supporting business process reengineering efforts, and designing improvements to current policies
  • Federal consulting experience preferred
  • Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or Military Health preferred
