Peraton seeks Business Development Manager, DHA/MHS

“Peraton is actively searching for a Business Development Executive with deep customer knowledge of the program acquisition, DevSecOps, and operational lines of business activities for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and Military Health System (MHS). This position will focus on supporting the growth, management, and conversion of our Health Provider/DHA pipeline.”

Responsibilities:

  • “Manage resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that align to the company’s strategic campaigns that result in meaningful and measurable revenue growth.
  • Achieve acquisition and sales goals through winning new business, contract recompetes, teaming, and organic program growth.
  • Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan, and the associated pipeline, in alignment and consistent with corporate campaign strategy and goals.
  • Serve as primary interface with customer community for assigned opportunities.
  • Build and sustain customer relationships through effective communications.
  • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with colleagues, customers, competitors, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, help “shape” acquisition strategies, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle selection.”

Qualifications:

  • “Bachelor’s degree, in related technical field preferred, and 10+ years of Business Development experience within the Public Sector Health segment or related technical field (4 years of equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement).
  • 6+ years of experience in a management or leadership role within the Public Sector Health segment.
  • Demonstrated access to customers and industry partners
  • Proven success with the business acquisition process, from identifying an opportunity through pursuit, program startup and ongoing program execution.
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, division managers, and peers across the company
  • Experience leading large $50M+ business pursuits through a business acquisition process leading pursuits through the opportunity identification, qualification, and capture phases.”
