MITRE taps Cheryl Austein Casnoff for Managing Director, Healthcare Payment Innovation & Quality

Cheryl Austein Casnoff, a senior health policy executive, has taken on a new challenge as Managing Director, Healthcare Payment Innovation & Quality at MITRE. Cheryl leverages a consulting and public service career in maternal and child health, public health, population health, health financing and system reform, social determinants of health, and health information technology.

In this new role, Cheryl leads all aspects of operating division, including thought leadership and strategic relationship management, leading executive-level engagements with CMS sponsors, constituents, and stakeholders; strategic planning to anticipate major policy trends and opportunities; and collaborating and partnering with senior leadership.

Prior roles include:

  • Director, Health Policy and Analytics – MITRE
  • Portfolio Director – MITRE
  • Senior Fellow – NORC at the University of Chicago
