VA Sources Sought: Automation Systems: Medication Dispensing (Optifill Gen 6)

Notice ID: 36C25622Q0712

“Background: The Optifill is currently in need of upgrade with the release of PPS version 6.0 and PPS 6.1.  This will allow our existing hardware to be supported with newest platform upgrades utilizing Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and Oracle 12c R2. Our VA will benefit from standardized software versions (PPS 6).  ARxIUM has spent development efforts in the latest PPS release to consolidate all past configurations and customizations, allowing future system enhancements and upgrades to be completed in a much timelier and more cost-effective manner. Previously the installation of these features has been time consuming due to the fragmented nature of the VA installations. By standardizing on a common platform new features can be developed and made available with significantly less time and effort, ultimately saving cost, and providing the latest capabilities to the VA and the veterans they serve.”

“In addition, this upgrade will ensure IT compliance of all VA systems; all systems will be operating the latest Microsoft and Oracle systems and be PIV card compliant. Not only does the latest PPS version provide a hardware and software uplift to enable compliance with Windows 10 and Windows Server mandates, but it is also packed with features and functionality to provide added value to our pharmacy, IT staff, supply chain and most importantly our patients.”
