VA RFI: Connected Care Platform

“BACKGROUND: Building upon the success of the Mobile Application Cloud Migration (MACM) platform, VA’s Office of Information and Technology (OIT) seeks to continue operating the platform (hereafter known as the Connected Care Platform) within the VA Enterprise Cloud as well as to continue performing adaptive, perfective, corrective, and preventive maintenance.  This platform provides compute spaces for: responsive websites, middleware (services supporting websites and mobile applications), commercial off-the-shelf products, and databases.”

“SCOPE OF WORK: Using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, techniques, and concepts, the Contractor shall continuously operate, and provide Adaptive, Perfective, Preventive, and Corrective Maintenance for, the “Connected Care PLATFORM” (CCP), formerly known as MACM, within the VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC).”

“Operating and performing Adaptive, Perfective, and Preventive Maintenance shall include:

  • Modernization necessary to meet service level objectives (SLO).
  • Software license management.
  • Site Reliability Engineering services that deliver maintenance and operations shared services to Product Teams that use industry standard DevSecOps and Scaled Agile Framework practices and techniques.
  • Providing associated infrastructure architectural services needed to adapt and perfect the CCP.
  • Implementing and provisioning – as part of adapting to an expanding tenant count – additional virtual private clouds / virtual networks
  • Adding VAEC commercial cloud instantiations to the CCP”

“The Contractor shall not be responsible for providing or acquiring cloud capacity or server hosting infrastructure for this contract. VA will furnish VAEC capacity as GFE.”
