“The VA has a requirement for a fully functional Resource Management-as-a-Service (RMaaS) solution that includes configuration managing, tracking, reporting, and presenting pertinent information of storage and compute infrastructure at facilities across the United States and abroad. VA further requires professional services to install, maintain, and operate this solution. The RMaaS solution shall consist of all hardware, software, and services provided in response to this PWS and shall be utilized to replace a number of disparate tracking, reporting, and display type systems that may be vendor specific as listed in the section, “Integration with Other applications”. This contract will be leveraged to move VA toward a standardized service delivery model eliminating duplicative tracking, reporting, and presenting actions that have in the past been brand agnostic.”
“OVERALL SOLUTION REQUIREMENTS
The Contractor shall deliver a fully functional RMaaS solution for a global enterprise view of the VA server and storage infrastructure within the VA hosted environment. No portion of the RMaaS solution shall be cloud based. This solution will be used to monitor configuration, capacity and performance of VA enterprise compute and storage infrastructure as outlined in table 2.1.”
“The RMAAS solution will remediate Audit Accountability, and Access Controls for the storage infrastructure gaps throughout the VA enterprise and provide the necessary “visibility to all server and storage” for account management. RMAAS shall be a tool that will provide central control, reporting, and visibility at every level of data center infrastructure from the application, through the host, across the network transport, and to the backend physical storage…”
