HHS ACF seeks Director of Acquisition Services

“The primary purpose of this position is to provide executive level oversight, direction, and leadership to transform the acquisition management and contractual support provided within the organization. This person will serve as a catalyst for change in the ACF Government Contract Services Office by deploying new business strategies, strengthening and developing team members, and ensuring the necessary structures and processes are in place to effectively support and address emergencies. 

Provides authoritative advice and policy guidance regarding strategic and operational acquisition and business process issues. Works to develop innovative processes and tools, and implements risk monitoring activities, to include program performance metrics. 

Provides leadership in the area of acquisition policy development, implementation, workforce planning, and training. Coordinates short and long range strategic planning efforts to assure all vendors have a fair opportunity to compete for and receive business with the government. Evaluates the effectiveness of the small business programs and processes and develops pertinent strategies, guidance, and performance standards.”
