DHA seeks Deputy Assistant Director for Pricing and Contracting

“Serve as the principal advisor on acquisition and contracting matters of strategic and operational importance of the Military Health System (MHS). 

Responsible for providing acquisition and procurement services across the DHA including all the MTFs of the MHS, the DHA healthcare market offices, DHA HQ offices, and all other organizations under the authority, direction, and control of the DHA. 

Responsible for creating and overseeing a professional, agile, and motivated DHA defense acquisition workforce that consistently makes smart business decisions, acts in an ethical manner, and delivers timely and affordable capabilities. 

Provide oversight to acquisition and contracting initiatives including the Agency’s Government Purchase Card and the Contracting Officer’s Representative programs. 

Establish and implement policies and ensure contracting practices comply with applicable laws and regulations. 

Ensure proposals are comprehensively evaluated in both competitive and noncompetitive acquisitions, including price and cost analysis. 

Manage post-award contract administration actions for the Agency. This includes contract modifications, negotiations of changes, and exercise of options. Investigate and resolve contractor delays and past performance assessments.”
