“The overarching objective of this contract is to ensure that Environmental Health Data from DNTP and other sources identified by Government are managed accurately, and reported and made available to the public securely, in context, completely and correctly as directed by Government. Contractor shall supply staff with expert knowledge in the generation, collection, integration and reporting of environmental health data along with an expert scientific understanding of DNTP study/research project designs and specifications provided in References. At the direction of the Government, Contractor shall ensure that DNTP scientific data, study metadata (data about the data) and summary/conclusion data are housed efficiently, accurately, and completely at DNTP or other designated facility in a manner that allows DNTP scientists, other Government agencies and the public to interrogate the integrated data and reach informed decisions about the hazards or other outcomes associated with exposure to environmental toxicants…”

Data management for DNTP involves the close control of data input files, data curation, storage, analysis, and formatting for DNTP use. DNTP has evolved a large codebase and processes designed to perform these data management steps for various data types. At the start of the contract the Government shall provide information, training, and advice as to how to use and support this code and to follow existing Established Procedures… - TASK 2: DNTP Data Management
DNTP will provide scientific data and metadata and other electronic information, for example decisions and / or conclusions, for Contractor to manage and report. Government has a variety of data management (DM) pipelines in operation and requires that Contractor continue to use these until directed to replace them… - TASK 3: Establish a CEBS Data Commons for Data Management
It is anticipated that the work of the DNTP will shift from primarily supporting guideline in vivo toxicology studies to supporting data management needs for in vitro, in silico, physiological monitoring, geospatial and other data types in addition. The balance and timing of this shift depends on DNTP priorities. It is possible that a relational database will not suit these new data; at the direction of Government Contractor shall design, develop and/or support a data ecosystem or commons using technologies, such as GEN3, that align with the NIH goal of an interoperable biomedical data commons… - TASK 4: DNTP Study Tracking
At present DNTP uses both Chemtrack and CEBS to track the status of study data generation, analysis, and reporting. Training on the use, support, and management of systems in place to perform this task will be provided to Contractor in the Transition Task at the start of the contract period of performance.
