“The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to be the director of the Office of Strategic Planning, Initiative Development, and Analysis (OSPIDA).”
“The director provides leadership for the development and coordination of all phases of NIAID-wide scientific strategic and operational planning; evaluation of diverse, highly complex scientific research and clinical programs; development of research initiatives; portfolio classification, policy analysis, and research portfolio reporting to inform policy decisions and science management; tool development and applications for data mining and analysis for data-driven decision making; and integration of science planning, resource planning, program evaluation activities, and related business systems to ensure that NIAID plans, priorities, and programs are executable, transparent, and sound. The OSPIDA director is a Science Policy Leader – Tier 2 position appointed under the Title 42 authority and reports to the NIAID Deputy Director for Science Management.”
