VA inks deal for MongoDB Licensing

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has inked a 2-year, $1M Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) contract for MongoDB Licensing. SDVOSB Redhawk IT Solutions won the task, which was awarded using the NASA SEWP V contract vehicle.

“VA, Office of Information Technology, Data Access Services (DAS) has a requirement for brand name MongoDB Enterprise Advanced (EA) including Operations Manager, MongoDB Connector for Business Intelligence and Compass Modules. This proposed action is to provide licenses for database software, as well as supporting maintenance to provide software updates, patches and bug fixes and professional services for DAS. MongoDB EA is a non-SQL database installed in the Veteran Administration Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) and serves to store data in flexible, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)-like documents, with customizable fields, structure and data models. This flexibility is required to securely store the highly variable (in size, structure and content) Veteran data that moves across DAS dataflows in support of Veteran benefits, healthcare and access to services. The period of performance will be a 12-month base with one, 12-month option period. Additionally, there will be four optional tasks in the base period and option period…”
