“Plan 4 Healthcare, Inc. (Plan4), the developer of the 4Cast, a web-based, software solution built to support annual Business Planning, Budget Calls, FTEE Scenario Planning, and Resource Tracking for Medical Centers, announced today that it has been awarded three contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for a combined value of over $8.3M. The contracts consist of three to five-year license arrangements for three different Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN).
- VISN 5: A BPA was awarded for all facilities in the VISN, with three facilities (Washington DC, Baltimore MD, and Beckley WV) starting implementation immediately. The facilities will start with the 4cast Budget Monitoring module immediately and will turn on the Business Planning module in early 2022 to effectively plan for FY23.
- VISN 16: The VA Gulf Coast Healthcare System in Biloxi, MS contracted with Plan4 to provide a license for 4Cast for their Medical Center. Following a process similar as VISN 5, Biloxi will also look to decentralize their planning process and allow all resource requests to map back to their facility strategic goals.
- VISN 19: This effort will continue the relationship started in 2016 with licenses for 4Cast for all 8 facilities in VISN 19. All aspects of the 4Cast tool will be utilized under this contract.”
“Speaking on the new awards, Brian Cannavan, Plan4’s CEO, had this to say. ‘A major goal of the 4Cast implementation is to establish the operational and financial foundation needed to sustain and improve care for our Veterans. At Plan 4 Healthcare, we are committed to empowering organizations by promoting data-driven decision, and these long-term contracts allow 4Cast to be a consistent and sustainable planning tool for many years to come.”
