NIH Office of Innovation & Information Technology seeking CIO

“This position serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Office of Innovation & Information Technology (OIIT), and has responsibility for planning and directing all aspects of the work of the Branch. The incumbent serves as a senior manager and principal adviser on IT issues to senior officials, with responsibility for overseeing, managing, and directing a full range of IT services for client organizations.” 

“Duties 

  • Directs a professional and technical staff that delivers a wide range of IT services to ORS and ORF organizations, and develops and implements operating policies and procedures. 
  • Plays a key role in formulating long-range policies and in developing and implementing strategies and management guidelines for complex and changing information technology systems. 
  • Provides expert analysis and advice, and develops solutions to solve issues and problems associated with agency-wide IT programs. 
  • Participates on agency, Federal, and non-governmental committees relative to equipment and system software policy and technology planning.”
