Bill James, an industry leader with an extensive executive government and corporate track record of IT leadership in the VA, USAF, DOD, NGA, and Private Sector, has taken on a new challenge as President of Federal Business, LLC.
As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Development and Operations (DevOps), Bill oversaw the VA Office of Information and Technology’s (OIT) largest organizations, delivering IT products and services; oversaw 8,000 government and 6,000 contractor staff, and a $3.3B budget, to deliver mission-critical enterprise-wide IT products and services to 650,000 end users at 2300 facilities – while effecting a cultural transformation in how VA delivers outcomes to Veterans and VA’s business customers – Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Benefits Administration, National Cemetery Administration, and VA Corporate offices.
