“The Clinical Center Office of Communications and Media Relations (OCMR), which includes patient recruitment, requires a website Contractor to manage the content, design and maintenance of the Clinical Center’s internet and intranet sites. Both the internet and intranet sites comprise 4,500 pages and assets.”
“The Contractor shall maintain and update the day-to-day content of the external websites, www.cc.nih.gov (clinicalcenter.nih.gov), https://btris.nih.gov/ https://www.bioethics.nih.gov/home/index.shtml as well as the Clinical Center’s two intranet sites. These sites serve as comprehensive and easy-to-navigate repositories for the most current official information about the Clinical Center.”
“The sites are housed on servers in the Clinical Center’s Department of Clinical Research Informatics (DCRI). Major users of the sites include scientists, clinicians, health sciences students, policy makers, reporters and members of the general public seeking clinical research and health information. Current and prospective participants in clinical research studies at the Clinical Center are another major audience. These sites play an integral role in supporting the Clinical Center’s mission, which is to provide a model environment for clinical research patient care and training.”
“The Contractor shall ensure that the sites’ content, as provided by OCMR and designated department representatives, is presented, organized and maintained effectively to serve as a useful resource for users and is compliant with all website accessibility requirements to accommodate users with disabilities.
