NIH NIMH seeking Section Chief – IT Operations

“The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Information Technology Management Branch (ITB) is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Section Chief – IT Operations. The ITB serves as the Institute’s focal point for Information Technology (IT) services including software development, infrastructure support, research and security, technology support, data management, and IT administrative policy.” 

“Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and coordinating of all aspects of the administrative and business management operations of ITB. 
  • Ensure critical IT support to systems that provide 24/7 operation and maintenance of the NIH critical IT infrastructure, including systems that support patient and animal safety. 
  • Provide project management duties for the Branch’s software support and development contract. 
  • Lead a team of diverse federal employees and contractors in varying IT fields, which require a broad knowledge base and high degree of judgment and technical program expertise to carry out these responsibilities.
