Former HHS CIO Perryn Ashmore Becomes Executive Director, Federal Government at Oracle

Perryn Ashmore, an industry leader with over 30 years of Federal service, most recently as CIO at HHS, has taken on a new challenge as Industry Executive Director, Federal Government at Oracle Government and Education. Perryn brings a wealth of experience in policy, procurement, human resources and technology solutions.

As the head of the HHS Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), he led the Department’s efforts in developing and implementing IT policies, managing high priority projects, and planning strategic IT investments. As the CIO, Perryn also provided leadership and oversight of the Department’s $6.3B IT portfolio in support of its expansive mission to enhance the health and well-being of Americans.

Before HHS, Perryn worked for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in their tailored platforms and data area. In this role, he led and implemented an application modernization strategy for FCC using low-code, cloud platforms and services. Read more here.
