The platform is hosted by NCATS and made available to multiple users of the NCATS Secure Scientific Platforms Environment (the “Environment”), an NCATS-hosted platform for collaboration across NIH institutes and centers, other Government agencies, and external collaborators. HALO receives particularly intensive use by users from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), NCATS, and the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C).”

HALO Digital Pathology Enterprise Software License Renewal

Purpose and Objectives

This requirement is to renew enterprise licenses for the installed base of HALO digital pathology software tools. This software provides for specialized analysis and management of digital pathology images.

The HALO platform is hosted by NCATS and made available to multiple users of the NCATS Secure Scientific Platforms Environment (the “Environment”), an NCATS-hosted platform for collaboration across NIH institutes and centers, other Government agencies, and external collaborators. HALO receives particularly intensive use by users from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), NCATS, and the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C).

The acquisition consists of renewal of the enterprise licenses for the following commercial items:

  • Licenses
  • Product Number
  • HALO Unlimited Image Analysis Platform floating term seat license PRO986
  • HALO AI Add-On floating seat term license, #PRO987
  • HALO Link 1000 user license, #PRO921
  • HALO Algorithm Development SDK annual, #PRO751
  • HALO Analysis Cluster – Annual License, #PRO 575
  • HALO AP assay-drive anatomical pathology case management and slide quantification platform, 25,000 slides, #PRO743
  • Custom software development (NCI anonymization feature), #PRO710

The salient characteristic of this requirement is the vendor’s ability to provide renewal of the enterprise-wide license for this software.

HALO software is licensed exclusively through Indica Labs, Inc., and is not sold through resellers.

Period of Performance

The license period is 9/15/2021 – 6/30/2022.
The award is expected to include two one-year option periods.
Option Period One (1): 7/01/2022-6/30/2023
Option period Two (2): 7/01/2023-6/30/2024…”
