“Last week, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Acquisition Policy posted a special notice on the SAM.gov site regarding new Federal facility entrance requirements. These requirements—including Agency safety protocols regarding vaccination and testing documentation—are being adhered to by HHS and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This message provides notification of these new access requirements and restrictions for all Contractors and Visitors to CMS Facilities. All contractors are responsible for ensuring that their staff fully comply with the entrance policy.”
“As a result, effective September 9, 2021, all on-site CMS contractor staff and visitors are requested to complete a vaccination attestation form, (https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/downloads/CertificationVaccinationPRAv7.pdf) either prior to arrival or upon arrival to a CMS facility; this form should be kept with them at all times while at a CMS facility. Please note that contract staff and visitors who attest to being not fully vaccinated (or who decline to provide vaccination status) will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 3 days (72 hours) prior to reporting on-site. These individuals should furnish a paper copy of their negative test results upon entry at a CMS facility and retain these results on their person while in a CMS facility, along with their paper attestation form. It should be noted that the Government will not retain copies of any COVID-19 test results.”
“There will be signage with additional information placed at CMS entrance locations to assist with this new process, as well as digital signage within the facility. We appreciate your cooperation and also remind you that, at this time, masking is required at CMS facilities as well.”
