“VISN 10 requires a Methadone dispensing system that will bi-directionally communicate with Cerner via HL7 messages at five (5) sites for their Opioid Treatment Programs…”
“The vendor will be responsible for development, installation, testing, and training for anticipated ‘go live’ date. A software package, which facilitates the management of methadone/opioid dispensing to VA patients which will be run on a VA provided virtual server. The vendor shall provide all software and HL7 licenses required for the five VISN 10 sites to have updated and complete systems and Cerner interfaces. The vendor shall provide an interface for Cerner at each VA Medical Center. The interface must provide bidirectional HL7 messaging including medication orders inbound including order updates, renewals, and discontinuation; medication order acknowledgements outbound; dispense activity outbound; admit/discharge/transfer; include patient demographic and allergy information. System must be capable of data migration for historical data, including data conversion, if required. Historical data is from the current Methadone Dispensing system, Netsmart Avatar. The first year of licensing fees and service/support must be included…”
