CDC intends to award Sole Source task for Modification to Admin Claims Data for NHCS

“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source modification to increase the total number of sampled hospitals that we collect electronic administrative claims data or Vizient data for the National Hospital Care Survey (NHCS). Westat is the only responsible source with an authorized system capable of providing these services that will satisfy the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s requirements.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). Interested entities may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement…”
