“426 companies will compete for up to $50 billion on the new STARS III contract from the General Services Administration. The commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service, Sonny Hashmi, says the agency will roll out the new contract in cohorts.
- Alan Thomas, former commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service at GSA and now chief operating officer at IntelliBridge, said this iteration of the contract includes an emphasis on emerging technology such as robotic process automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Other additions include onboarding and offboarding capabilities and an ability to perform Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) work, said Thomas.
