The Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) and its Branch Medical Clinics provide medical and surgical inpatient and outpatient care to active duty personnel, military retirees and their families. In support of these efforts, the Information Management Department at the NHCP has requirements for information technology staffing personnel to provide support services to assist with the operation and maintenance of its software systems and equipment. The support provided would involve application and web development, data warehousing, system administration and network support. The contractor shall supply a support services team to fulfill for the overall operational objectives of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP). Services provided are in support of the NHCP Information Management Department. This procurement is anticipated to be a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. NAVSUP FLCSD anticipates issuing a solicitation for one (1) one-year base period and four (4) one-year option periods for a total Period of Performance (PoP) of five years.
The contractor shall support and maintain NHCP’s robust data warehouse system and resolve production data load issues as they occur (occurrences can vary from 50‐100 incidents daily), ensuring that analytical cubes, reports, notifications and other end user interfaces are operational while sustaining current and accurate information. The contractor shall track and resolve database related incidents and requests and review service related reports (e.g: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis (occurrences can vary daily from 1‐ 100 incidents) to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved by close of business or next working day. The contractor will respond to database alerts. These range from 0‐20 per day. The alerts are examined, which in turn determines if it requires network intervention and the network team is then contacted. The contractor shall implement Performance Tuning and Query Optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. The contractor shall detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related issues related to CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, blocking and deadlocking, replication, log shipping, and connectivity. The contractor shall perform these checks daily. The contractor shall perform backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication daily. The contractor shall provide reports weekly to the COR via email on operational automation when appropriate.
