HHS seeking Technical Manager, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources

“This position is located in the Department of Health And Human Services, Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.”

Responsibilities:

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (ENTARCH/INFOSEC), you will use your knowledge of and experience with Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all IT aspects of “Federal Systems” including: Serving as the Technical Manager and representing Grants Solutions (GS) at all Operating Division (OPDIV) and Departmental IT meetings, leading, developing, implementing, and overseeing the integrated processes and procedures of the systems development life-cycle (SDLC) activities.
  • Developing, formulating, and implementing the GS IT Investment budget and coordinating budget formulation and execution with appropriate ASFR staff as required.
  • Assigning and reviewing quality of work, approving leave, developing performance standards, evaluating performance, making selections of subordinate staff, hearing and resolving group grievances or employee complaints, reviewing and approving formal disciplinary actions, recommending awards/bonuses for exemplary performance, and approving travel orders and vouchers.
  • Planning and implementing information security projects, security controls and standards, procedures, standards, and management actions.
  • Serving as the Technical Manager and representing GS at all Operating Division (OPDIV) and Departmental IT meetings.
