G2X TAKE: Williams Consulting LLC, an 8(a) EDWOSB and HUBZone management consulting and professional services provider, who specializes in Healthcare Management and Health IT services and solutions, was just awarded a new contract with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH). Work is to provide technical, administrative, and logistical support for the operation and function of the COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force (Task Force).
The Task Force is part of the Government-wide effort to identify and eliminate health and social disparities that result in disproportionately higher rates of exposure, illness, hospitalization, and death related to COVID-19. The Task Force provides advice to the Secretary for HHS on recommendations and oversight on disparities in the public health and economic response to address the disproportionate and severe impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on communities of color and other underserved populations.
