CMS RFQ: Technical Support for Payment Systems and Rates

The purpose of this contract is to acquire policy, clinical, data analysis, and programming services in support of Medicare Payment Systems for FY 2021 on an optional basis, at the Government’s discretion.  The government, at its discretion, may exercise options for FY 2022-2025.

The contractor shall compile all revised HDT files received from the MACs as a result of the MACs’ completion of the desk review process, and merge the new HDT files with the wage May preliminary PUF. For those providers for which a revised HDT file was received, the contractor shall remove that provider’s data from the May preliminary PUF and replace that provider’s data with the revised data.  For those providers for which no revised HDT file was received, the contractor shall retain the data that was on the May preliminary PUF.  Thus, the contractor shall create a “master” wage file on which to run the edit checks…

The contractor shall compile all the revised occupational mix survey excel spreadsheets received from the MACs as a result of the MACs’ completion of the desk review process, and merge the new occupational mix spreadsheets with the occupational mix May preliminary PUF. For those providers for which a revised occupational mix spreadsheet was received, the contractor shall remove that provider’s data from the May preliminary PUF and replace that provider’s data with the revised occupational mix data.  For those providers for which no revised occupational mix spreadsheet was received, the contractor shall retain the data that was on the May preliminary PUF.

The contractor shall compile all the revised HDT files received from the MACs as a result of the November to January editing process, and merge the new HDT files with the pre-edits wage raw data file. For those providers for which a revised HDT file was received, the contractor shall remove that provider’s data from the pre-edits wage raw data file and replace that provider’s data with the revised HDT file.  For those providers for which no revised HDT file was received, the contractor shall retain the data that was on the pre-edits wage raw data file.  Thus, the contractor shall create the next “master” wage raw data file that will be posted on CMS’s website with the January PUFs.
