Responsibilities:
- Support the Office of Technical Integration within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) as a Deputy Cyber Package Project Manager.
- Serve as a deputy project leader for a team of cybersecurity personnel supporting the review and the augmentation of current security packages, to include system security plans.
- Assist in managing a team comprised of a technical lead and security analysts.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team.
- Support the functional manager and own responsibility and accountability for assisting in leading an effort to accredit and connect all assigned systems.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
- Experience with dealing with cybersecurity management as it relates to systems with an emphasis on accreditations and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)
- Knowledge of VA and DoD cybersecurity policies and ATO/ATC processes
- Ability to manage the connection of approved solutions and provide leadership and coordination to geographically dispersed and matrixed teams of network engineers, system owners, system administrators in support of connectivity testing and events
- BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Math, Physics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Project Management, or 18+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
- Experience in the VA or DoD
