VA seeking Director, Architecture

“The incumbent serves as the Director, Architecture, reporting to the VA Chief Architect in the Office of Architecture Strategy and Design (ASD). The incumbent is responsible for the development of major elements of the Enterprise Architecture, coordinating the development efforts of other major sections, and the integrating all parts into a single One Enterprise Architecture for submission to 0MB and use within VA…” 

“Major Duties: 

  • Proscribes how compliance with the architecture will be built into VA development programs, as well as, how it will be enforced. 
  • Develops the “as is” and “to be” elements of the Segment Architecture which will be used to document current high-level processes and technologies, and then describe the future state of these processes and technologies. 
  • Ensures that key elements of the Secretary’s Strategic Plan are reflected in the One VA Enterprise Architecture. 
  • Coordinates the development of the One VA Enterprise Architecture to ensure all needed elements are addressed and can be fully integrated In addition, the Director prepares the submission of the Architecture to 0MB, and ensures it is readily available for use within VA…”
