CMS seeking Director, Data and Information Dissemination Group (DIDG)

“This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics (OEDA), Data and Information Dissemination Group (DIDG).”  

“Responsibilities 

  • Exercising delegating supervisory authorities and responsibilities in guiding and controlling the work through subordinate employees engaged in dissemination. 
  • Formulating the communication strategies and goals of OEDA, including identifying agency information dissemination priorities and developing implementation strategies designed to optimize CMS data and information dissemination. 
  • Developing and implementing the CMS information technology system Enterprise Privacy Policy Engine responsible for tracking data disclosures as required under the Privacy Act and HIPPA. 
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and independent authority on the appropriate mechanisms and processes to ensure appropriate data sharing of CMS generated data files containing protected health information and personally identifiable information. 
  • Exercising overall supervision over establishment of the organizational position structure by providing the optimum balance between such elements as efficiency, skills utilization, employees motivation and development.”
