In coordination with OIT, the OICAM also provides technical support for Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) ICAM requirements, including ICAM support to address interoperability requirements and initiatives.  In May 2018, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) signed a contract with Cerner to modernize the VA’s health care Information Technology (IT) system through the adoption of the Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, known as Military Health System (MHS) Genesis. Technical and policy support is needed for OICAM to help the VA’s Office of Electronic Health Record Modernization (OEHRM) address the key Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) issues, requirements, processes, and activities required to achieve and sustain continued successful implementation of the EHRM system…

The Contractor shall provide technical and non-technical support services for a broad range of tasks in support of the OICAM mission to include support for identity, credential, and access management, and also for personnel security and suitability  program/project management, governance, policy development and issuance, compliance oversight, strategic analysis, coordination with OIT for physical and logical access control systems requirements collection  support, business requirements documentation development, architecture and engineering technical support, system user acceptance testing, OIT release management support, training support, and expert level technical support to the OICAM Executive Director and OICAM Directors.  The Contractor shall support OICAM’s programs, projects and initiatives to provide a broad range of tasks.
