NGS has won its third consecutive award as Payment File Development Contractor for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Launched in 2011, the PFDC role disburses electronic health record incentive payments to eligible Medicare professionals and hospitals under the Health Information Technology and Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act.
“For more than a decade, we have been delivering end-to-end payment services in support of the HITECH program and ensuring proper fund controls and collection of overpayments,” said Andrew Conn, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of National Government Services. “To date, we have delivered more than 1.3 million uninterrupted payment transactions totaling $30 billion, helping to advance CMS’ objective to promote the adoption and meaningful use of health information technology and qualified EHRs.”
